Relieve Anxiety & Worry with Hypnosis

Anxiety & Overthinking relief

When stressful situations are happening around you, your body pumps out hormones to prepare you for danger, for emergencies, for meeting deadlines. But when those hormones stick around they can drain your energy, making it impossible to relax & get on with your life. Worrying about not having control of situations that haven't happened yet also. Discover a natural and holistic approach to ease your anxious mind, with hypnosis.

When your brain won't give you a break, you know those times when your mind just won't switch off? You replay conversations. Think about what might happen. Go over something you said three days ago. Imagine all the things that could go wrong. Tell yourself to stop thinking about it... and then somehow end up thinking about it even more.

That's the frustrating thing about overthinking. Knowing you're doing it doesn't necessarily make it stop.

Anxiety and overthinking can become familiar patterns. Your brain gets used to looking for problems, possibilities and things that might need fixing. Before long, you can find yourself caught up in thoughts that seem to run on autopilot.

It's not about stopping your thoughts - Your mind is supposed to think. The goal isn't to have a completely empty head or to never worry about anything again. It's about changing what happens when those thoughts show up. Instead of automatically following every what if..., you can learn to respond differently. You can become better at noticing a thought without getting caught up in it, settling your mind and bringing your attention back to what's actually happening. Sometimes you don't need to think less. You just need your thoughts to have less control.

What can we work on?

People experience anxiety and overthinking in different ways. Maybe your mind is constantly busy, you're always second-guessing yourself, or you find yourself worrying about things that haven't even happened yet.

Perhaps you replay conversations, worry about what other people think, feel overwhelmed by everyday situations or find it difficult to relax and switch off.

You might even notice that your thoughts are affecting your sleep, your confidence or your ability to simply enjoy what's happening right now. And sometimes you can't quite put your finger on why you feel anxious. You just know you're tired of feeling this way. That's okay too. We can start with what's happening now and work from there.

Changing the pattern - Think about a well-worn path. The more often you travel it, the easier it becomes to follow without even thinking about it. Overthinking can work a bit like that. The good news is that your brain can learn new pathways too.

Through hypnotherapy, we can work with the patterns behind your thoughts and reactions, helping you develop different ways of responding. That might mean feeling calmer in situations that previously made you anxious. It might mean trusting yourself more, worrying less about things you can't control, or simply being able to say, "I don't need to solve this right now," and move on.

Learning to trust yourself - Anxiety can make you question yourself constantly. Did I say the right thing? What if I've made the wrong decision? What if something goes wrong? What will they think? That constant second-guessing can be exhausting.

Hypnotherapy can help you build greater self-trust and confidence, so you can make decisions, deal with uncertainty and move forward without needing to analyse every possible outcome first. You don't have to become someone who never worries. You can become someone who knows how to handle the worry when it appears.

How we work together, your sessions are personalised to you. We look at what's going on, what you'd like to be different and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Depending on what you're working on, sessions may include hypnosis, guided visualisation, NLP, relaxation techniques, bilateral stimulation and other approaches that can help shift thought and behaviour patterns.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you come. We can start with a conversation. I offer a Free Phone Consult where we can talk about what's been going on, what you'd like to change and whether hypnotherapy might be a good fit for you. Sessions are available in person at my studio in Smithfield, Cairns Northern Beaches, or online via Zoom.

Sometimes the first step is simply getting out of your own head long enough to look at things differently.

Note: Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical or psychological care. If you're experiencing severe or persistent anxiety that’s significantly affecting your day-to-day life, it's important to seek appropriate professional support.
